What Your Handwriting Says About You

What is your handwriting like? Do you write like chicken scratch or do you have classy cursive? Fun fact, there are over 5,000 personality traits can be pulled just by the shape of your letters, the size you write, how you hold the pen and the space you place between the words. We went around the office for a few writing samples. Let’s see what our employee’s handwriting has to say about them.

Sample Writing

Here is a sample of our employee’s handwriting.

Sample Writing

Slanting

If you write on a slant like example 1 then you don’t let your emotions get in the way of how you handle situations. But if you slant to the right like the second writing sample, you are open to new experiences and new people. And if you slant to the left, then you tend to be more of an introvert. If you are right handed and lean to the left then you may be trying to express rebellion.

Shape

Rounded letters like samples 1 and 4 shows signs of creativity. With pointy letters, you are intelligent yet aggressive and intense. If you tend to connect your letters like samples 2 and3 then you are logical and tend to make decisions very carefully.

Looping

There are two ways to loop your l’s: a wide loop means you are relaxed and spontaneous while a tight l loop means you may be restricting yourself and hiding some tensions. With a narrow e loop like sample 3, you may be skeptical of others but with a wide e loop like sample 4, you are more excepting of others.

Dotting Your I’s

Who knew there were so many ways to dot your i’s? If you tend to have a high dot over your eye it means you have a wonderful imagination, but if you tend to dot closer and right over the i, then you are detail oriented and organized. If your dot tends to end up to the left of your i then you are a procrastinator.

Crossing Your T’s

If you tend to cross your t at the top like sample number 2, then you are ambitious and optimistic. Or you may be like sample 3 where you cross more towards the center meaning you are confident and feel comfortable in your own skin.

Pressure

We can show literal signs of pressure just by how we press our pen to the paper. If you write lightly then you are a very sensitive person. However, if you tend to write heavier, then you are great with commitment. But, if you write with very heavy pressure then you tend to be uptight and react poorly to criticism.

Signature

How we sign our name says a lot about us. When your signature is clearly written out, you are confident and don’t need to pretend to be someone else. However, if you are like our team and your signatures are a scribbled mess, you tend to be a more private person.
