Prevent Summer Brain Drain With Pilot

Summer is here and school is (finally) over! For many parents, guardians, and babysitters, this means either taking your child to a summer camp or having them stay at home saying “I’m bored,” every five minutes. This “boredom” typically leads to countless hours spent behind a computer, television, or tablet screen.

Although children deserve downtime to unwind after a busy school year, it is still important that their brains remain active and engaged in something besides video games.

According to Elmer’s, children lose an average of 2.6 months of grade-level equivalency in math skills during the summer.  Our friends at Elmer’s have some suggestions on how to prevent summer brain drain. Some examples include going on a nature walk, cooking, and gardening.

To celebrate the start of summer, MyOfficeInnovations will be giving away three zipper pen cases filled with an assortment of Pilot G2 pens, along with a cooler kit that includes a water bottle and sunglasses to help you stay cool!

All you have to do to enter is comment on our Facebook page telling us how you plan on helping the children in your life prevent summer brain drain.

This contest ends June 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET.  We will announce our lucky winner on Facebook on or about July 1.
