Will you accept the Sharpie challenge? It’s time to show off your Sharpie skills.

Who doesn’t love Sharpies?! I know I sure do! Every since I was a child they have been one of my favorite art and crafts supplies because they’re so versatile and easy to use. Of course, back then, they only came in 2 colors...black or brown. These days, they come in a wide range of colors including the new neon markers that become fluorescent under a black light. How cool is that?!

Here are some great examples of how to use your Sharpie markers for other things other than work:

Did you know if you draw on a light bulb that that it will decorate your walls at night with your designs? How cute for a child's room?
Sharpie Tie Dye is a great craft to do with kids it is a low mess way of doing a tie dye. You make the tie dyed patterns using sharpies and alcohol.
Pretty up your iPhone case.
Add a splash of color to your walls

A little bit of history about Sharpies. The first Sharpie markers came out in 1964, but the story behind their production goes back over 100 years before that. In 1857, Frederick W. Redington and William H. Sanford founded the Sanford Manufacturing Co. in Worcester, Mass. The company focused on selling and producing glue and ink until the 1960s when it noticed an opportunity in the emerging marker industry.

Did you know the Sharpie marker has become one of the best-selling writing instruments in history, with over 200 million Sharpie markers sold?
